Impressive new product with minimal flaws
While I don't experience irritation from Kanekalon, I like to think of myself as an environmentally conscious person and I was interested to put my money where my mouth is when it comes to braiding hair. I'm not a hair professional by any means, but I often do my own feed-ins or box braids on myself.
1. Comparing to Kanekalon
Comparing the texture to Kanekalon, Rebundle is a lot smoother and softer. It doesn't totally feel like human hair, but a lot closer to it than Kanekalon. Additionally, it does not have that plastic-y shine that Kanekalon does (girls who try to take photos of their braids in natural lighting know what I'm talking about, lol). It's still shiny, but looks a lot more natural. The natural shine is a huge bonus for me.
I used 2 bundles for 4 feed in braids, which is a little more than I would use with Kanekalon, but the difference is negligible.
As for the color, "Natural" was said to be similar to #2. This is accurate, so no complaints there.
2. Comparing to previous Rebundle hair -
I had one bundle of pink Rebundle hair from when they did their soft-launch sometime last year. The texture of the new Rebundle hair is a significant improvement. The older hair feels a lot stiffer, and more like hay. To me, this update shows that Rebundle has took time and care to reformulate the product and the work certainly paid off.
